These new works are plein air paintings from Mount Coot-tha in Brisbane and the Botanic Gardens in Singapore.

I began making plein air watercolours on paper while I was living in Singapore and continued this practice after my return to Brisbane with the expansion into acrylic on board works. My intention was to learn more about how to see things - how to see colours and shapes and respond directly to what I see.

These paintings are my interpretation of the light, the shapes and colours of the landscape.
